NFF Holds Annual General Assembly in Delta State

The 2024 Annual General Assembly of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is scheduled to take place in Asaba, Delta State.

In preparation for the event, which is set to take place on Friday at the Unity Hall of the Delta State Government House, delegates from all over Nigeria arrived in the city on Thursday evening.

Gathering of the best football administrators

Nigeria’s football administrators and stakeholders get together for the NFF Annual General Assembly, which is the biggest gathering of its kind in the nation.

The event serves as a crucial platform for discussing ideas, shaping policy, and formulating the rules and regulations that will guide football governance in Nigeria for the coming year.

Chairmen and secretary of the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria’s Football Associations will be present at the assembly.

There will also be representatives from Nationwide League One, Nigeria Women Football League, Nigeria National League, and Nigeria Premier Football League. The Congress will also include representatives from the players’ union, coaches’ association, and referees’ organization.

Members of the NFF Executive Committee and Management will attend, among former NFF Presidents and General Secretaries.

The event’s featured guest will be Senator John Owan Enoh, the honorable minister of sports development. Notable guests include a representative from the West African Football Union (WAFU B) and Amaju Melvin Pinnick, the Member of the FIFA Council for Nigeria.

Agenda and opening ceremony

The assembly is expected to be opened by Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, the Executive Governor of Delta State. The inaugural ceremony will also be attended by a number of officials from the Delta State Government, media representatives, and other observers.

The assembly will go over a number of important topics pertaining to the management and organization of football in Nigeria, such as the difficulties the various leagues confront and the creation of fresh projects to assist football at all levels.

According to Vanguard, the goal of policy matters will be to drive the expansion of football in Nigeria by improving the overall quality of the game and addressing current challenges.

The event will also provide an opportunity for various stakeholders to voice their opinions on how to advance football development in Nigeria, aiming to ensure progress for both domestic leagues and national teams.

The gathering will feature a number of well-known participants, giving a forum for varying perspectives on the direction of Nigerian football.

The leagues, associations, and unions will have the opportunity to directly address the NFF’s decision-makers with the best methods to advance the game.

Along with focusing on improving governance at all levels of the sport and bolstering grassroots growth, the conference will also highlight building on past accomplishments and utilizing the knowledge of seasoned football administrators.
