  • South-South PDP zonal congress does not have its date scheduled yet until the new schedule emerges.
  • The leaders from Ogbia province extended their apology to the governor following their party disputes.

Governor Douye Diri rejected speculation regarding PDP party division in Bayelsa by maintaining that the party stays united while being strong politically.

At the PDP State Executive Council (SEC) gathering in Yenagoa the governor declared PDP functions as the exclusive political choice for statewide aspirations.

The PDP government produced a former Nigerian president yet maintaining dominance as the ruling party in Bayelsa according to statements released by Governor Diri’s Chief Press Secretary Daniel Alabrah.

Party members should disregard false information and work together for unified growth according to his directions.

President of Bayelsa State Diri announced that PDP had not executed its South-South zonal congress despite false reports. The National Working Committee postponed congress activities because South-South PDP governors needed more time according to their request about the February 22 date being unsuitable.

Under the current circumstances Bayelsa PDP thrives immensely. We remain the party to beat. The state has never witnessed PDP defeat throughout its history.

According to his assessment, those planning for 2027 should join PDP because this party offers the most relevance he stated.

Political leaders from Ogbia Local Government Area presented apologies to Governor Diri together with PDP leadership because of the actions performed by suspended zonal legal adviser George Turnah.

Assembly Chief Whip Gabriel Ogbara expressed on behalf of the Ogbia people that they never practice betrayal toward their benefactors. He asked for pardon before both the governor and the PDP officials.

The PDP state chairman Solomon Agwana praised the Diri administration as he showcased the current developments in different parts of Bayelsa state.

The state’s party secretary Gesiye Isowo praised the development accomplishments of Diri which he believes will make future electoral campaigns more effective.
