Lawmaker Condemns Plateau Killings, Calls for State Police

The House of Representatives representative Dachung Bagos strongly criticized the murders of twelve people at Bokkos Local Government Area by presumed herders.

A demand has emerged for the United States Federal Government to take action together with establishing state police entities.

Lawmaker condemns Plateau killings

The staged attack on Wednesday damaged five communities together with leaving several people wounded. As the representative of Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituency Bagos demanded the Federal Government to intensify its security efforts throughout Plateau.

He demanded that the National Assembly should quickly pass proposed laws for state police to improve both decentralization of security functions and local police performance.

Bagos expresses condolences and commends state Governor

Bagos issued condolences alongside strong condemnation through his special media adviser Dafwam Yaks about the killings especially at Ruwi village which resulted in the death of twelve people.

The Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang received praise from Bagos because he visited targeted regions to comfort victims while renewing his dedication to resolving security problems throughout the state.

Call for federal government action and state police

Lawmaker condemns Plateau killings, and as part of his message Bagos emphasized that communities should collaborate for mutual support because community solidarity stands alongside citizens’ constitutional duty to defend themselves.

The Plateau State Governor needs the Federal Government to increase its measures for protecting citizens throughout the state.
