FG Directs Federal Institutions to Ensure Transparent Recruitment.

  • The government through FG requires all federal tertiary institutions to post open positions for selection without obstructions.
  • All institutions must forward their required manpower to the Ministry for its review process.

Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa as the Minister of Education issued instructions for all institutions obtaining recruitment waivers to advertise vacant positions through national newspapers and academic journals along with their internet pages.

The directive works to create an open recruitment process that gives every qualified Nigerian equal possibilities to enter.

FG directs requirements for recruitment

The Ministry made waivers possible for institutions whose manpower requirements were accepted as part of their initiative to develop Nigerian higher education capabilities.

FG directs that the institutions must present their recruitment requirements to the Ministry’s Committee on Waiver and Recruitment for necessary review.

Systems have been enforced

The Ministry has implemented enforcement systems which punish educational institutions that do not comply with these procedures.

The Federal Ministry of Education continues to support honesty and fairness throughout the higher education sector.
