Jonathan Urges Other Governors to Study Otti’s Qualities

Former President Goodluck Jonathan appeals to Nigerian governors along with leaders to experience firsthand the successful leadership style of Governor Alex Otti by visiting Abia State.

Jonathan encourage all Nigerian governors and leaders to visit Abia State to study Governor Otti’s leadership methods especially his commissioning of a restored 46.3-kilometer road network.

Governor Otti as a model of purposeful leadership

Ambassador Godknows Igali delivered positive remarks about Governor Otti during the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) Alumni Reunion Dinner at Umuahia while representing Jonathan.

The Governor has demonstrated outstanding development-oriented governance through his numerous accomplishments during two years in office which showcase his strategic planning abilities.

Through his innovative leadership Jonathan applauded Otti for successfully transforming the former joke product “Aba made” into a product of pride for many people.

Learning from Otti’s example, Jonathan urges other Governors

Jonathan notified Nigerian leaders to practice the intentional leadership approach that Governor Otti demonstrates through his commitment to genuine transformation, Jonathan urges other Governors to study him. The UNIPORT alumni group received praise from Jonathan because they made important political and economic achievements throughout Nigerian society as well as producing six state governors and the President who became Vice President.

Governor Otti’s commitment to public service

The UNIPORT 80s Alumni received appreciation from Governor Otti after they chose to host their reunion meeting at Umuahia twelve years after their initial gathering in Port Harcourt. The governor encouraged his ex-colleagues to join public service because it creates chances for long-lasting societal impact.

Ongoing infrastructure development in Abia State

During his address to the audience Governor Otti provided updates about ongoing state initiatives particularly the rehabilitation work on 200 primary healthcare facilities and 221 educational institutions located throughout the 184 wards of Abia State.

The governor disclosed that education receives 20 percent of annual funding while health receives 15 percent thus demonstrating Abia state’s dedication to building its human resources.

The administration provides backing for UNIPORT combined with an award presentation ceremony.

Prof. Owunari Georgewill served as Vice-Chancellor of UNIPORT when he commended Governor Otti for his developmental progress and requested additional assistance to resolve the institution’s residential issues.

The ceremony presented award recognition through the Excellence & Service to Humanity Awards to distinguished alumni while the event hosted Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State plus former Governor Chibuike Amaechi of Rivers State and Dr. Samuel Ogbuku of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) among participating dignitaries.
