On Friday President Bola Ahmed Tinubu declared that hunger and poverty represent the biggest threats against Nigeria’s peace and security because the nation requires development-oriented governance and agricultural investment.

During his Katsina State two-day tour President Bola Ahmed Tinubu instructed every state governor to devote attention to grassroots development by ignoring unsupportive commentary from critics.

Your programs must begin from the people upward. Solid evidence of your accomplishments along with your physical efforts will silence doubters. Tinubu also said that people should ignore distractions because their achievements would speak for themselves.

Launching of the eastern bypass road

The president Tinubu launched the Eastern Bypass road which spanned 24 km after Governor Dikko Umar Radda finished it in 18 months. Through his presence President Tinubu launched the Katsina Agricultural Mechanised Centre which focused on food production expansion throughout all 34 local councils of the state.

Tinubu commended the state leadership for its endurance along with affirming federal backing to address Katsina’s security problems due to terrorist and bandit attacks. You will not walk alone. Federal institutions stand beside Katsina and its people for support.

Tinubu declared that breaking free from oil dependency must become National Priority as the country should fully invest in agricultural development to reach prosperity.

The financial system continues to move toward positive direction. Peace and harmony become important to us when hunger does not control our existence he remarked.

Revitalisation orders to help curb hunger and poverty

The Bank of Agriculture received revitalisation orders to serve farmers of all scales and the President emphasized that agricultural development relies on mechanisation and contemporary water resource management,this will help reduce hunger nd poverty.

Gov. Radda reported that N25 billion federal funding enabled the purchase of 400 tractors as well as 160km of road construction or renovation works. The Governor observed development in water resources and health provision and irrigation improvement through 4,000 pumping machines and extensive fertiliser programs.

During the midpoint of his governance period President Tinubu recognized Governor Radda as a patriot who led progress based on his successful management of the state. The president expressed gratitude to governors Masari and Shema for their backing as well as traditional servants for maintaining national harmony.
