The Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has referred to President Bola Tinubu’s successful repayment of Nigeria’s debt to the International Monetary Fund as a financial triumph, economic masterstroke.

In a Thursday release that came from State Publicity Secretary Valentine Onojeghuo, the party attributed the development to what it referred to as Tinubu’s bold economic reforms and disciplined fiscal strategy.

The statement read that President Tinubu’s economic reforms, characterized by strong fiscal discipline, bold monetory policies and aggressive diversification initiatives, have brought back to life the country’s productive sectors and recasted Nigeria as a major investment site for the world,.

Nigeria’s economic resurgence noted

Delta APC said the loan settlement removed Nigeria from the list of IMF-indebted countries and described it as a powerful statement of Nigeria’s resurgence as a sovereign economic powerhouse.

The party also took credit for Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda in revamping the economic terrain of the country and building investor confidence.

Governor’s efforts recognized by Delta APC

The party also paid him compliments by praising the Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and his M.O.R.E. Agenda, which they asserted was positive to the federal economic blueprint, and made reference to it as complementary to the federal economic blue print. The APC referred to signature infrastructure projects such as the Ughelli – Asaba Expressway, Enerhen and Effurun flyovers and the almost completed Ayakoromo Bridge as proof of positive impact.

Oborevwori’s development movement is changing the physical and economic map of Delta State according to the statement.

Bid for synergy between federal and state governments

The Delta APC urged more collaboration between federal and state governments, which would be to their advantage since they share the same leadership priorities.

The convergence of Federal and State level progress shows the potential when leadership is serious, accountable, and committed to service which impacts lives, the party said.

It ended by reiterating loyalty to President Tinubu and committed to the Governor Oborevwori’s second-term mandate.
