The statement described Maduagwu as a cherished colleague and vibrant voice who connected with viewers across the country. It urged authorities to thoroughly investigate and prosecute her killers, stressing that she was not only a broadcaster but also a lawyer, a professional peer, and a supportive friend.

Condolences poured in across social media platforms, where Nigerians expressed grief and anger at the persistent insecurity in the capital.
