CP Dantawaye Miller vows stronger community-police trust

Police spokesperson SP Josephine Adeh said the new commissioner is focused on building stronger ties between residents and law enforcement.

Miller pledged to reinforce the Command’s security network, promising greater cooperation with local communities to safeguard the Federal Capital Territory.
“The Command calls on residents to support the police in maintaining peace and security across the FCT,” Adeh said in a statement.

CP Dantawaye Miller brings two decades of experience

Born in Kajuru, Kaduna State, Miller joined the Nigeria Police Force in May 2000 as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent. He has served in key national security roles from escort commander to a former vice president to chief security officer at the Petroleum Ministry and commander of MOPOL 24 at the Presidential Villa.

Before his redeployment to Abuja, he led the Kogi State Police Command and previously served in operations leadership roles in Yobe, Edo, and the FCT.

The FCT Command is still one of Nigeria’s most important security areas. It is in charge of keeping government buildings, diplomatic missions, and important national assets safe. Residents hope that Miller’s long history would give the police department a boost of confidence as security worries grow in the city.
