  • Hospital rejects the Regina Daniels detox report.
  • Viral claims spark fresh family dispute online.
  • Focus shifts to authenticity of claims circulating online.

Serenity Royale Hospital in Abuja has denied issuing a medical document alleging that actress Regina Daniels substance abuse report showed she was undergoing a detox programme.

The viral report claimed Daniels had been diagnosed with a substance-use disorder and placed on a home-based detox programme that began on September 24, 2025. It circulated with the signature of the hospital’s Managing Director and Head of Clinical Services, Adekunle Adesina.

In a statement released on Thursday, the hospital dismissed the document as fake, insisting it did not originate from the facility. It described the circulation of the report as misinformation and urged the public to disregard it entirely. The hospital said the alleged detox document contained “classified information” that its staff neither issued nor endorsed.

Viral family feud deepens after Regina Daniels substance abuse report

The controversy comes amid a separate social media dispute within the Nwoko family. Earlier in the week, one of Ned Nwoko’s wives, Laila Charani, accused Daniels on Instagram of introducing her to alcohol and drugs six years ago. Charani claimed the alleged influence nearly destroyed her marriage and said Nwoko has always opposed substance use among his partners.

She added that the businessman consistently warned against drinking, smoking, and drugs, stressing that he would never accept such behaviour from any wife. Charani said that intervention and strict boundaries helped redirect her from what she described as a “dark path” during that period.

Before making the allegations, Charani had posted family photos and videos, including a vacation clip highlighting her efforts to focus on peace and stability within her home. Daniels, meanwhile, responded to her estranged husband in a separate post, stating that he had never slept outside their home during their seven-year marriage because she “held him well in the other room.”

Finally, the dispute continues to unfold online, with both women sharing contrasting narratives as public interest in the matter intensifies.
