Gunmen have abducted a 47-year-old driver with Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Health, identified as Sunday Ani, from his residence at Grow Homes Estate in Abuja.

The incident reportedly occurred around 2 a.m. on March 29, when the attackers stormed the estate and took the victim to an unknown destination. His whereabouts remain unknown as of the time of filing this report.

Sources said no ransom demand has been made since the abduction, while security agencies are yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident. Efforts to locate the victim are reportedly ongoing.

The kidnapping adds to growing security concerns in the Federal Capital Territory and other parts of the country, where cases of abduction for ransom have continued to rise.
