President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has commissioned the newly constructed corporate headquarters of the Nigeria Revenue Service in Abuja, NRS, marking a key milestone in the Federal Government’s ongoing efforts to overhaul the country’s revenue administration system.
Located on Kur Mohammed Avenue in Abuja’s Central Business District, the state-of-the-art facility reflects the government’s commitment to strengthening fiscal institutions under the leadership of NRS Executive Chairman, Zacch Adedeji.
The high-profile event attracted leading political figures, including Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, and Secretary to the Government of the Federation George Akume.
Also in attendance were governors such as AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, Charles Soludo, and Babagana Zulum, alongside key members of the Federal Executive Council and private sector leaders.
A Modern Facility Built for Efficiency
The newly unveiled complex consists of three towers rising up to 16 floors, with the capacity to accommodate approximately 3,000 staff members. The facility is designed to support a more efficient, technology-driven revenue system.
The commissioning also formalised the transition from the Federal Inland Revenue Service to the Nigeria Revenue Service, a reform initiated through legislation signed by President Tinubu in June 2025.
The reform, which came into effect on January 1, 2026, aims to unify tax collection, modernise processes, and improve overall efficiency in revenue generation.
