Nigeria Upgrades Visa-on-Arrival Policy, not Cancellation

The Interior Minister Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo officially corrected reports about the elimination of VOA policy which has actually received an upgrade to improve security standards and operational efficiency.

Visa process enhanced for efficiency

At his appearance after a PEBEC private session in Abuja Tunji-Ojo expressed that the system enhancements target process optimization combined with safer security protocols.

Nigeria maintains its dedication to hassle-free travel while ensuring greater security according to the assurances provided by the chief executive official to investors and the international community.

The Visa-on-Arrival method continues to operate without any suspension plans. He explained that the system underwent an enhancement upgrade which now ensures efficiency and effectiveness.

Tourists can now obtain pre-arrival clearance through Interpol and other background screening methods as part of the improved system that enhances security but maintains easy access to visitors.

Faster approvals and digital process

Tunji-Ojo stated that travelers can continue to obtain short-stay visas by online application process and receive authorization through 24 to 48 hours. The processed visa will reach applicants through their email without requiring any physical arrival sticker.

PEBEC Director-General Princess Zahrah Audu stated that the changes implemented by the government support ongoing efforts to decrease bureaucracy and enhance the business environment in Nigeria.

Greater foreign investment becomes the target of Nigeria through several advancements which both protect national security standards and create favorable business conditions during immigration processes.
