Nigeria Immigration Arrests 376 Illegal Immigrants in Ogun

A total number of 376 illegal immigrants received arrests from Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) during anti-fraud operations in Ogun State.

Police officers from Ogun State Command and Zone A headquarters conducted the operation based on accurate intelligence in the Lambe/Ajuwon Akute areas.

Muhammed Akadri who serves as State Comptroller indicated that profiling revealed 334 Cameroonians together with 27 Ghanaians along with one Togolese and 26 Beninese individuals. The population included 251 men together with 125 women from ages 25 to 30 years.

The authorities started the process to send illegal migrants back home

The inspection uncovered that unauthorized border entries had led these people into Nigeria while they lacked either visas or appropriate identification documentation.

Kemi Nanna Nandap at the position of Comptroller General of Immigration has ordered appropriate procedures for sending them back to their home nations.

The National Immigration Service strengthened its border security operations to block unauthorized entry from illegal immigrants.
