2025 UTME: JAMB to Release Results Friday

According to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results are to be released on Friday, May 9. The event releasing is pegged for 8 a.m. board’s national headquarters at Bwari Abuja.

The official invitation from the board reads, The release of 2025 UTME is to hold tomorrow, Friday, 9th May, 2025; Venue: JAMB National Headquarters, Bwari, and Abuja time; Time: 0800hrs.

2025 UTME results display poor overall performance

Sometime earlier in the week, JAMB supplied a performance breakdown showing that for less than 25 per cent of the 1,955,069 candidates that sat the 2025 UTME, their scores exceeded the 200 points mark.

Out of these, only in 420,415 cases the figures exceeded 200. Only 756 candidates scored above 320 whereas another 7,658 candidates got scores from 300 to 319.

Underage and malpractice cases noted

JAMB reported that a total of 40,247 underage candidates were given a special permit to sit for the JAMB, of which only 467 (1.16 percent) did qualify based on defined exceptional ability. The results of their performance in the next three follow up stages are still pending.

The 97 confirmed cases of examinations malpractice were also reported by the board. Also 2,157 candidates are being investigated for suspecting of exam malpractices.
