CAF and Morocco’s AFCON 2025 Local Organising Committee have approved free electronic visas for supporters travelling to the tournament, a move expected to ease access for fans from countries that typically require permits to enter Morocco.

CAF said the visas, obtainable through the YALLA mobile application, will support visitors attending the competition scheduled for December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026, as global demand for match tickets continues to rise.

Free AFCON 2025 e-visa improves global fan mobility

The new policy comes as interest in Africa’s biggest football event surges, driven by returning rivalries and Morocco’s first hosting opportunity since 1988.

Fans will need two documents, a Fan ID and an electronic visa to enter the country and gain access to stadiums across the six host cities.

CAF said the YALLA app processes both applications in one place, helping supporters complete the steps faster and cutting documentation hurdles for international visitors.

Digital system drives smoother AFCON 2025 e-visa access

Applicants must download the YALLA app from Google Play or the App Store, or visit the official YALLA website, before filling out the Fan ID form and submitting any required e-visa request. Once they secure approvals, fans can then buy tickets on CAF’s ticketing platform.

Organisers say the integration of both systems is designed to offer a seamless, secure and modern fan journey throughout the tournament.

CAF noted that the reforms enhance safety and convenience as nine stadiums prepare to host matches involving 24 national teams, marking one of the most anticipated editions in recent years.

With a new generation of African players set to headline the competition and Morocco’s infrastructure ready to showcase North Africa’s football capability, officials expect the free visa policy to fuel a significant rise in attendance and tourism flows.
