African Democratic Congress Kicks Off Sale of Nomination Forms Ahead of National Convention

The African Democratic Congress, ADC, has officially commenced the sale of expression of interest and nomination forms in preparation for its upcoming ward, local government, state congresses, and national convention.

In a notice signed by the National Organising Secretary of the ADC, Pa Idigo, members were invited to obtain forms to contest various offices, with fees structured according to the level of the position.

At the ward level, expression of interest forms are priced at N2,000, while nomination fees range from N3,000 to N10,000 depending on the office being contested. For local government positions, chairmanship forms cost N40,000, and state chairmanship forms are set at N500,000, with other categories priced accordingly.

Nomination requirements include a non-refundable N50 fee per nominator, as well as specified endorsement thresholds at different levels. The sale and submission of forms is scheduled to close on March 27, 2026, while screening of applicants will take place on March 30–31.

Timeline for party congresses and national convention

The ADC’s electoral calendar will commence with polling unit and ward exercises on April 7, followed by local government and state congresses on April 9 and April 11, respectively. The process will culminate in the national convention, slated for April 14, 2026, where final leadership positions across the party will be confirmed.

Members have been advised to adhere to the deadlines and requirements to ensure valid participation in the nomination and screening processes. The party’s organized schedule is designed to facilitate orderly elections across all levels, while ensuring transparency and broad participation by members.
