Paytogeda Chief Executive Officer Aderogba Odepode on Thursday unveiled the CampusPay campus payment platform in Ibadan, calling it a student-centered innovation to eliminate financial disputes in polytechnic student unions. Meanwhile, the National Association of Polytechnic Students co-hosted the launch event alongside technology partners in the Oyo State capital.

“We are launching a movement that empowers students to take collective and responsible control of their finances,” Odepode said. “This platform is designed to strengthen governance, build credibility, and deliver real value to the students it serves.”

NAPS Senate President Ayomide Oyewumi described CampusPay as a transformative step toward modernizing student governance, saying every financial transaction would now be traceable, verifiable and free from mismanagement.

He also noted that the campus payment platform allows student leaders to generate verified financial reports instantly, strengthening the legitimacy of campus administrations. Additionally, Oyewumi said the system extends beyond dues collection to registrations, departmental fees, event ticketing and daily campus transactions.

Odepode explained that the system makes every contribution visible, tracks every transaction and requires agreed-upon approvals for each payout. Furthermore, he said the platform promotes trust and operational efficiency within student bodies and aligns with global best practices in institutional governance.

Moreover, Oyewumi stressed that embracing digital solutions is essential to building smart campuses capable of sustaining reforms beyond individual tenures. “Transparency is no longer optional, and accountability is no longer negotiable,” he further stated.
