Nigerians can expect better days ahead, says Nigerian President Bola Tinubu, who vows that 2025 will come with economic stability and quality living standards.

The president, in his New Year message, also said he is confident of meeting up with the collective wishes of Nigerians, despite the challenges in 2024.

Tinubu said economic indicators ’ spoke by a positive and encouraging outlook for our nation, ’ achieving foreign trade surpluses, strengthening the naira value, and reaching record stock market growth. These achievements have given renewed confidence in Nigeria’s economy, he said.

Tackling inflation and cost of living

Tinubu also acknowledged the increasing cost of food and essential drugs and vowed to fix those with higher food production and support for local manufacturing. His administration is meticulous about and committed to cutting down inflation from 34.6 percent to 15 percent.

Tinubu also said that the National Credit Guarantee Company will be established by the second quarter of 2025 to help support economic growth. Through this initiative, the underserved groups like women and youth will have access to credit to the individuals and businesses where access has been zero.

Sustainable growth vision

His administration further pledged to work on reforms necessary to create a one trillion dollar economy in Tinubu’s outline. He urged not to lose sight and unity as we build a great nation for all.

Moreover, the need to shift away from divisive politics, towards greater cooperation for a sustainable growth and a prosperous future prevailed, he said.

The president expressed gratitude to Nigerians for their trust and also their assurace that he will serve them wholeheartedly.
