Davido Embraces Fatherhood with the Arrival of Twins, Overcoming Tragedy

Published on

Nigerian music sensation David Adeleke, known globally as Davido, joyously announced the birth of twins with his spouse, Chioma, marking a triumphant moment in the couple’s life.

In a heartfelt revelation at the United Masters Select Con event this past Saturday, Davido shared his journey back from despair after losing his son, Ifeanyi. The tragedy almost pushed him to a breaking point, questioning his music career’s future.

“It felt like I couldn’t go on. I questioned if I could ever perform again. I was ready to quit. Yet, against all odds, this year turned around to be my most successful,” Davido reflected. “Just three days ago, we were blessed with twins—a boy and a girl. It’s a miraculous doubling. Keeping the faith wasn’t easy, but we held on.”

The emotional rollercoaster began for the couple when they found out they were expecting twins, coinciding with the anniversary of their son’s passing. “The news shook us, coming in the same month we lost our boy. Ifeanyi left us last October, and this year, in October, we welcomed two new lives,” Davido recounted.

The confirmation puts to rest public speculations following a viral video on Friday, showing Chioma, post-delivery, cradling the newborns in a U.S. hospital.

This development underscores a period of healing for the family, illustrating personal resilience and the transformative power of keeping faith even amidst life’s most challenging moments.
