Izuchukwu, 51, a resident of Texas, was discovered unresponsive on the floor of his room at a hotel in the Ikoyi neighborhood. According to investigators, Izuchukwu was in Nigeria on a business trip and had been staying at the hotel since June 6.

The grim discovery was made by a hotel cleaner who then alerted hotel management. The hotel’s security chief promptly contacted the police. Medical personnel were also called to the scene, and a doctor confirmed Izuchukwu’s death.

Police Launch Investigation

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, announced that a full investigation has been launched to determine the cause of Izuchukwu’s death. His body was transported to a morgue in Ikeja, the capital of Lagos State, for a forensic autopsy.

“An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of Mr. Izuchukwu’s death,” Hundeyin said in a statement. “Our officers are currently at the hotel gathering evidence and speaking with witnesses. We are committed to uncovering the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.”
