Former Spokesperson of Atiku, Tinubu appoints as Media Aide

Bola Tinubu, President has appointed Daniel Bwala, former spokesperson for the Atiku Campaign as his Special Adviser on Media and Public Communications. The appointment of three Directors General for national agencies was also announced Thursday.

Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, in a statement, said the appointments added to a process of strengthening governance. The appointees include:

Daniel Bwala – Special Adviser, Media and Public Communications (State House)
Olawale Olopad, Director-General, National Sports Commission. Dr. Abisoye Fagade, Director-General, National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism. Bwala, who is a lawyer and public affairs analyst, is expected to roll out seasoned media strategy for the Presidency.

Wide range of professional experience

Other appointees bring specialized experience to their roles are; Olawale Olopade, he is a seasoned sports administrator, appointed Ogun state commissioner Youth and Sports and former chairman of 2024 National sports Festival organizing committee. Dr. Abisoye Fagade; he is a marketing communication expert and founder of Sodium Brand Solutions, who will head up the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism. Dr. Adebowale Adedokun, he has experience as Director of Research and Strategic Planning with the Bureau of Public Procurement from where he will now head the agency.

The Presidency had urged the appointees to be “dedicated,” have “patriotism” and be excellent in their duties.
