The Kogi Central senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan extended an apology to ex-Minister of Education Oby Ezekwesili following her dispute with Ebonyi North Senator Onyekachi Nwaebonyi at a Senate hearing.

The hearing of the Senate Committee on Ethics Privileges and Public Petitions faced a verbal confrontation when Akpoti-Uduaghan submitted her petition against Akpabio who served as Senate President.

For a long time Akpoti-Uduaghan has blamed Akpabio for intimidation while accusing him of defamation and sexual harassment.

The witness for Akpoti-Uduaghan named Ezekwesili encountered numerous interruptions by Nwaebonyi who supported Akpabio. The exchange escalated when Ezekwesili instructed Nwaebonyi to “compose himself and stop making noise” then demanded him to “please shut up”.

Akpoti-Uduaghan made a sincere public apology through X regarding the verbal abuse that Nwaebonyi targeted at Ezekwesili on Wednesday.
