The Kano Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps has declared the commencement of its 2025 Eid-el-Fitr special patrol, which will take place from Thursday, March 27, to Wednesday, April 2.

FRSC Kano announces Eid patrol dates for 2025 celebrations.

The program is a response to the increased traffic, both human and vehicle, that is usually connected with the celebrations of Sallah. It seeks to provide a fun and secure holiday season.

Abdullahi Labaran, the public relations officer for the sector, made the announcement in a statement that was made public Friday night.

According to the statement, “the goal of this special operation is to increase the Corps’ visibility on highways throughout Kano by deploying personnel and logistics early to reduce road traffic crashes, fatalities, and injuries.”

According to Punch, the special patrol’s main objectives would be to enforce traffic laws strictly, conduct rescue missions quickly, respond to distress calls promptly, and remove roadblocks as soon as possible.

1,889 personnel, ambulances deployed for quick emergency response.

The command has sent 1,889 troops, comprising 541 special marshals and 1,348 normal marshals, to accomplish these objectives. There will be service locations for rescue and emergency response, as well as five ambulances on standby 24/7.

According to the statement, “a heavy-duty tow truck will also be available for quick removal of obstructions to ensure smooth traffic flow.” “To encourage lane discipline and orderliness, traffic control and calming measures will be implemented at all Eid prayer grounds throughout the state.”

Additionally, the command announced that it will use mobile courts to handle traffic infractions during that time.

To ensure a safe and happy Eid-el-Fitr, Sector Commander Masa’udu Matazu advised all road users to abide by traffic laws and issued a warning against automobile racing and underage driving during the festivities.
