Adelabu, an APC governorship aspirant, insisted he launched the effort as an act of gratitude and service, not for political gain. “This empowerment is not about politics,” he said. “I am only thanking God for His mercy by giving back to society.”

He acknowledged Nigeria’s current economic challenges and urged citizens to remain patient, expressing confidence that President Bola Tinubu’s reforms would yield positive results soon. “Though things are tough now, Nigerians will soon reap the gains of their sacrifices,” he added.

A guest speaker, Olutayo Akinleye, also commended the initiative, describing it as a model for supporting entrepreneurship and local growth.

He further told the people who got the money to be smart with it and not spend it on things that aren’t important. Recipients therefore thanked Adelabu and said the money would help keep their businesses running and improve their lives.
