OPay Digital Services Limited has opened a new office in Ibadan. This is part of the company’s effort to provide safe, easy-to-use, and cutting-edge financial services to people and businesses all over Nigeria.

The launch highlights the fintech’s plan to grow its physical presence as more and more people use digital payments across the country.

The opening ceremony took place at the company’s newly renovated Ibadan facility and was attended by business leaders, agents, merchants, and members of the media. OPay said that the office will be a major support centre for small businesses, corporate clients, and the millions of people in Oyo State who use its platform.

OPay grows its physical presence

Elizabeth Wang, Chief Commercial Officer of OPay Digital Services, said that the new branch shows how serious the company is about making customers happy and growing across the country. She said that even though a lot of users interact online, many still prefer to meet in person. This is why the Ibadan launch is such an important step in making services more accessible.

Wang said, “The launch in Ibadan is an important step towards our goal of bringing world-class financial services closer to Nigerians.” “This office makes sure that both online and in-person customers get reliable help and a smooth experience.”

She also said that OPay is quickly growing its physical presence, with 28 offices in 25 states. The Ibadan branch is the first fully upgraded location in the city. She said that all of the offices will be renovated between this year and next to meet the standard set in Ibadan.

Fintech shows how to make security better

Wang stressed that customers will still be able to use services that go beyond banking, thanks to a reliable digital infrastructure. She said that OPay has added advanced security features, such as Face ID and other authentication tools, to protect user transactions and build trust throughout its ecosystem.

The company said these changes are part of its efforts to make Nigeria’s fintech scene safer, where identity verification is now necessary to fight fraud.

New office increases involvement

Odiase Ikponmwosa, OPay’s Head of Partnership, said that the new office in Ibadan shows that the company wants to stay close to its users while providing faster, more responsive service. He said, “With this new office, customers can expect better support and more involvement.” “We care a lot about meeting their needs, hearing what they have to say, and making their experience better.”

Ikponmwosa says that the facility will also make it easier for merchants and small businesses to work together and serve as a place for product demonstrations, partner meetings, and technical support.

OPay said that the Ibadan office helps it reach its bigger goals of promoting financial inclusion, making digital commerce more accessible, and giving young people and small businesses safe, reliable financial tools.
