Leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress in Ogun East Senatorial District have endorsed Dapo Abiodun as the party’s consensus candidate for the 2027 Senate election.

The endorsement was announced during a well-attended meeting held at Adeola Odutola Hall in Ijebu-Ode, where party leaders, elected officials, and grassroots representatives gathered to deliberate on the district’s political direction.

Speaking on behalf of the stakeholders, Lekan Mustapha said the decision reflects a shared belief in Abiodun’s ability to effectively represent the district at the Senate.

He disclosed that a delegation would be constituted to formally communicate the endorsement to the governor and facilitate the purchase of his nomination forms ahead of the 2027 elections.
